If you suffer pain, discomfort or trauma contact your Osteopath as soon as you can. Osteopaths are there to advise. The earlier you seek help the sooner a diagnosis can be reached, treatment begun, and most importantly - the earlier a pain free state can be reached. The longer you ignore the problem, the more difficult and costly it will be to treat, as it will take time.
Osteopathic Consultation – What Does It Involve?
An Osteopath will always take a detailed medical and general case history. The Osteopath will expect you to undress to your underwear in order to examine your spine/muscle condition/posture/site of pain. If Osteopathic treatment is NOT suitable for you, you will be told and given a referral to a relevant practitioner.
Osteopathic Treatment – What You Can Expect?
Osteopaths use many techniques to treat. You will always be treated as an individual and techniques used that are relevant to you. Your treatment may include Massage, Muscle Energy Techniques, Neuro Muscular techniques, Osteopathic Manipulation, Cranio-Sacral Osteopathy, Exercise and Hydrotherapy.
